The 2nd Northern China Field Crop Seed Expo, sponsored and organized by Hebei Provincial Seed Association and Hebei Science and Technology Newspaper, was held at Shijiazhuang International Expo Center from November 21 to 22 of 2020. The Institute of Dryland Farming was invited as exhibitor.
      During the expo, the institute displayed its newly developed wheat, millet and cotton varieties including Hengmai 28, Hengmai 29, Hengmai 30, Henggu 35, Hengmian HD008, Hengmian 1670 and Hengwu 1068 which drew the attention of enterprises, seed dealers and farmers. The visitors kept asking questions about the seed characteristics, extension, field management and relative questions of their concern. This event strengthened people’s understanding for the new water-saving varieties and technologies of Dryland Farming Institute and set up good foundation for the extension and application of Hengmai, Henggu and Hengmian series.
