Professor Pan Feifei from the University of North Texas visits the Cotton Institute and investigates the impact of climate change on cotton production

On July 6th, Professors Pan Feifei and Lorenda Sarbeng from the University of North Texas and Professor Pan Xuebiao from the College of Resources and Environment of China Agricultural University visited the Institute of Cotton. Their purpose of coming was to investigate the impact of climate change on cotton production. Director Lin Yongzeng introduced the on-going research and achievements in the Institute in recent years, and the two sides discussed the impacts of water shortage and climate warming-up on cotton production in North China, and reached preliminary intention for possible scientific cooperation in the future. Subsequently, Professor Pan and her team went to Xiaoanshe Experimental Station of Cotton Institute and investigated the growth of cotton on the spot.
